22 June 2009 - UPDATE: This release date rumor appears that it may have had little truth to it as apparently Play.com have listed several big PS3 exclusive titles to release on this date which seems highly unlikely.
20th June 2009 - According to the UK game site Play.com, Gran Turismo 5 on the Playstation 3 will be released on the 27th November 2009! Whether this date is completely accurate is only speculation as there has been no official date set by Sony themselves. You would however think that this date would be a smart move by Sony as Gran Turisom 5 has been in development for a long time and all the Gran Turismo fans out there have waited long enough for it, although they did get the Prologue version. This would also make sense as Gran Turismo 5's main competitor, Microsoft's own Forza 3, is due out in October and I am sure Sony would love to pit GT5 up against it for the holiday period. Time will tell if this date is accurate, but if it is, it is going to be a fast paced holiday period with two of the most highly anticipated racers released in October/November!
