Uncharted 2 wins Best of Show

25th June 2009 - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2007 hit Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, has picked up one of the biggest gongs in this years Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2009. The highly anticipated game also won Best Console Game and Best Action/Adventure Game.

The Game Critics Awards is a group of 29 independent leading North American "videogame" media outlets that each year conduct a "Best of E3 Awards", recognising gaming excellence and innovation as demonstrated at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles, CA via hands-on playable form. And at this year's E3 Expo, held on 2nd June through to 4th June, it was Uncharted 2: Among Thieves that stole the show, and rightly so. The game is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever, and it's no surprise coming from a developer with a proven track record for producing quality games.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves sees the return of fortune hunter Nathan Drake in a pulse-pounding third-person action-adventure/shooter created by award-winning developer Naughty Dog and exclusive to PLAYSTATION®3. Down on his luck, Drake is lured back into the treacherous world of thieves and mercenary treasure-seekers he had sought to leave behind. When a mysterious artefact propels Drake on an expedition to find the legendary Himalayan valley of Shambhala, he finds himself embroiled in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse against a fugitive war criminal who is after more than just the fabled riches of the lost city. Caught in a web of deception and plunged into an increasingly deadly pursuit that tests the limits of his endurance, Drake is forced to risk everything – but has his luck finally run out?
